A man fighting against a fatal disease Lymphoma, Bill Joe Daugherty is the founder of Victory Christian Center in Tulsa. It is one of the biggest church in the country with its 17000 members. Lymphoma is a cancerous tumor that originates in the neck and according to the reports condition of Billy’s tumor has grown worse.
The family of Billy is suffering pain due to his condition, his four children named John, Paul, Sarah and Ruthie are praying in church for his recovery. His two son-in- laws and wife also continuously praying in the church for the betterment of his health. Billy’s wife Sharon spent more time with his husband to provide him serenity. Sadly the cancer damaging his health, persistent infection which is causing his health more critically. Like in all the cancer cases, the immunity system collapses so he is getting weak with this disastrous disease. Billy is suffering from the dysfunction of immunity system and he is in hospital trying to recover from this condition. Pastor Bruce Edwards said he is battling the infection.
Billy is still in fighting mood against his disease and in his last post on November 20, he said,
” Jer1:19 ‘They will fight you, But they shall NOT prevail against you, for I am with you, says the LORD, to deliver you.’ We are winning!”
He is a man of great character, he was hit by a man twice on his face in 2005 which later required stitches. But he didn’t file charges against the 50 year old man, on the contrary he went to jail to meet the old man.
