On December 9, 2009 New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and his wife Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen have been blessed by the birth of baby boy. They were married on February 26, 2009 in an intimate ceremony in Santa Monica, California. This is couple’s first child together as Tom has a 2-year-old son, John Edward Thomas. Actress Bridget Moynahan is the mother of Tom’s first child, she had a relationship with Tom from 2004 until late 2006.
Bridget Moynahan showed no harsh feelings for the couple, Moynahan told the Daily News,
“I wish them the best with their baby and I’m sure my son will enjoy having a half sibling. I ask the press to respect our privacy while we are welcoming this new addition to our extended family.”
Brady began dating with Bundchen after he ended his relationship with Moynahan. Tom and Bundchen were just a few months into their relationship when Moynahan revealed her three month pregnancy.
Bundchen told Vanity Fair,
“It was definitely a surprise for both of us.”
The point which created feud between Moynahan and Bundchen was an interview which Bundchen gave just before marrying Brady. Bundchen told Vanity Fair,
“I understand that he has a mom, and I respect that, but to me it’s not like because somebody else delivered him, that’s not my child. I love him the same way as if he were mine. I already feel like he’s my son, from the first day.”
But now the conflict between Bundchen and Moynahan seems to have sort out. Moynahan told Harper’s Bazaar,
“Going through that traumatic time of being heartbroken and then being pregnant turned my whole life upside down and inside out. But now I have a child, and it’s the best thing in the world.”
