Former Detroit Lion wide receiver Charles Rogers has been arrested again after passing out at a Mexican restaurant from drinking too much on Tuesday. Novi Deputy Police Chief Tom Lindberg said that Rogers was arrested after the incident at the On the Border restaurant on Haggerty Road at 3:15 p.m. after employees were unable to wake him. Employees called 911 as they were concerned that Rogers had suffered a heart attack.

Rogers, 28, was sentenced to 93 days in the Oakland County Jail with credit for 17 days served by Novi District Court Judge Robert Bondy on Wednesday. He was arrested on suspicion of failing to fulfill his probation in a Sobriety Court program, Novi. Tom Lindberg said,

“He was showing signs of intoxication and was uncooperative, and at that point our officers determined that he had a warrant out for his arrest.”

Rogers was arrested in Novi, MI for driving under the influence of alcohol after being found unresponsive behind the wheel of his car by police in September, 2009. His sentencing on a guilty plea for operating while impaired in that case had been delayed so he could enter the sobriety court program. He was drafted by the Detroit Lions second overall in the 2003 NFL Draft. He was cut of from the team in 2006.
