Charytin Goyco

A famous TV presenter, actress and singer from Dominican Republic Charytin Goyco better known as Charytin in the show business born on 23 May, 1949. She spent her early life in Spain where her mother was living after the separation from her father. She spent ten years there and then came back to Dominican Republic. Her mother was Spanish and father was Dominican.

In 1970s when she was in Puerto Rico where she met her husband a famous actor and producer Elin Ortiz. When she sang her song Mosquita Muerta she became a super star. The song was on the top of music charts she also played a character in her TV show with the same title. Shalim, her elder son born in 1979 he is also a singer who has performed in Lizzie McGuire and Heroes.

Charytin Goyco made a movie in Spanish Verano En Nueva York and again the songs of that movie were chart toppers. After that she acted with Chacon and other famous actors and singers in a soap opera but could not enjoy much success. She moved to Miami with her family in 1988 and in 1989 she became pregnant and gave birth twins. After it she dedicated her self to her family but in late 1990s she again joined television by hosting a show.

In the 35th Annual ACE Awards presentation she won the ACE Extraordinary Award for Distinction and Merit. Now she hosts a gossip and entertainment show for Univision Sister Station TeleFutura. Charytin is also awarded with a Lifetime Achievement Award.
