Dell Streak

To reduce the gap between smartphones and tablet computers, Dell has come forward with its new device “Dell Streak”. Dell Streak is a 5-inch tablet which is expected to launch very soon. The device will first release in UK and then, after about 15 to 20 days, in America. It is being said that the new device will become popular very soon because of its features. It’s thin and can slip into your pocket easily secondly, it uses Google’s Android which means it’s easy to understand. The biggest surprise of this product is its screen that is just 1.5 inches bigger than iphone yet it gives a fine picture quality just like iPad tablet. You cannot make telephone calls using your iPad tablet but Dell Streak gives you that opportunity too and you can make an urgent call anywhere across the globe watching your favorite movie. It also keeps a 5-megapixel camera.

Dell’s Chief Marketing Officer, Paul-Henri Ferrand, explained why they headed towards mobile industry. He says mobility is very important for them because it is the finest way of surviving in the market today. Look at the trend of the market. World is just getting smaller and smaller and everyone like small but fast things which has capability to store a large amount of data in them. The purpose of inventing Dell Streak is to provide people a platform through which they can perform both tasks the data work and calls. The other devices follow the rule of call first and data second but Dell gives priority to data because data is more important and people also spends more time using it.

Streak is expected to launch in June. 7- and 10-inch screens tablets are also to come out following the launch of 5-inch device.
