March 17, 2010
American actor Jan-Michael Vincent who is best-known for his role as helicopter pilot String fellow Hawke on television series Airwolf is still alive. Its great news for his fans as his death rumor was floating on net. After this hoax his fans were very upset and they were trying to know whether it’s true or not. Cheer up guys your star is alive and enjoying a good and healthy life. Jan-Michael Vincent was born on July 15, 1944 and for his role in Airwolf his salary was rumored to be the highest of any actor on American TV, at $200,000 per episode. Jan Michael Vincent began his career from movie, The Bandits. The Bandits was released in 1967 and it was co-directed by Robert Conrad.
Jan-Michael Vincent enjoyed a very successful and extensive television and film career that began in the late 1960s and lasted until the early 2000s. He was born in Denver, Colorado, to Doris and Lloyd Vincent and in his early age his family moved to Hanford, California. He completed his studies from Ventura College in Southern California.
As a muscular high school student, who suffered an acid attack by a mentally unstable fellow classmate, he appeared in on the Dragnet 1968 episode, “The Grenade.” Not only had this he also made an appearance in the “Danger Island” segments of Hanna-Barbera’s Banana Splits series. In 1969, he starred in the in the Twentieth Century Fox movie The Undefeated as Bob Wilkes and his name was appeared as Michael Vincent in the credits of the movie.

Jan-Michael Vincent was inspirational as the character of Stringfellow Hawke on Airwolf and I was upset at the vicious rumor that was spread around the web, especially as the role he was best known for world-wide was as ‘Hawke’. Airwolf the series still has a huge following worldwide and 27 years on they’re still producing new, official product for the series to satisfy that demand such as the Airwolf Themes official soundtrack(s) [there will be three] that holds a world record for collectibility as the Most Expensive TV soundtrack of all time on eBay), not to mention the fantastic new scale Airwolf models from Aoshima in China, and of course Universal have enjoyed massive success with the DVD box sets for the show (roll on the Blu-Ray remastered versions in the future. Long live Jan-Michael Vincent. ;D
