Jonathan Escobar, student of Kennesaw school starts a new trend of cross-dress in the school. Despite of wearing proper school uniform he is achieving importance not only in school but also from media due to his casual dress. His dress composed of wigs, make-up, skinny jeans, vintage tops and feminine shoes. Although this kind of dress is not allowed in the schools, Jonathan has been warned by the school Principal either to dress-up in a descent manner or to leave the school. According to them these kind of cross-dress harm the discipline and studies of the students. Students in these casual dresses pay much more intention in fashion then in studies and other warm activities.
This is due to the Jonathan extreme dress that everyday several junior students around him in the cafeteria, in other places making the environment of the school disrupted. On Jonathan third day at the school, he was taken under notice by the school official who warned him to dress-up like a gentleman and follow the rules. The school decision is still binding on Jonathan, he should follow the order otherwise he have to leave the school. But students on the other hand, protesting against the school decision and support Jonathan not only in school but his support has over 1000 members voting in the Facebook too. The students have design slogans, many students plan to adopt Jonathan’s style of dressing to show their support.
Jonathan expressed his emotions in these words:
“If I can’t express myself, I won’t go to school,” he told the paper. “I want to get the message out there that because this is who I am, I can’t get an education.”
