KISS Sonic Boom

The cover artwork for “Sonic Boom”, has now shown below. ‘Sonic Boom’ is said to be the most anticipated album from KISS. The CD will be release via Wal-Mart and the date announced for its release is October 6, 2009. On October 6, the album will be release in both U.S. and Canada. The upcoming album, “Sonic Boom’ is produced by Paul Stanley, who is the guitarist/vocalist, in Los Angeles. It would be a three disc set. It will also feature a live DVD which had been shot in Argentina. This DVD was shot during the recent KISS Alive 35 South American tour. The tour was record breaking. According to reports, the price of the CD set would $12.
Gene Simmons, the bassist/vocalist of the KISS band said,
“‘Sonic Boom’ may be the best new record we’ve done since ‘Destroyer’! It is ‘Rock And Roll Over’ meets ‘Love Gun’. The world’s biggest retailer had better get ready for the hottest band in the world and hire more cashiers before October 6!”
About the album, Paul Stanley said,
“Through all of the albums that are considered our classics, we tried to always find ways to give our fans extras that went beyond just the music. Besides our making the best KISS album in decades, Wal-Mart has made it possible for us to include a bonus CD with 15 of our most famous songs and an additional live DVD, shot during our recent concert in Buenos Aires. So in every sense, ‘Sonic Boom’ is the ultimate return to classic KISS form. You wanted the best, you got the best!”
The album will be launched under Wal-Mart, which is considered as one of the largest music retailers in America and expected to be a huge hit.

Holy crap….with all the album artwork throughout their history this is the best album cover they could come up with? I hope the music doesn’t suck as back as the cover art does. Cross between Rock N Roll over and those old K-Tel compilation albums they used to sell on tv every other week.(I’m dating myself).
… seriously? If there is a next time , please let your fans come up with the album art. That would make better sense and create more interest.
I give it to the guy on the rock and roll all over artwork but he fell asleep on this one.
The cover art is lame. So many cool options for this band to do a great cover and they blew it.
Remember Paul Stanley said : “…and wait till you see the cover”. Don’t ever believe anything that come out of their mouths. Expect this album to be a major disappointment. Why? Because Paul and Gene have hyped it so much. They already lied when they said it’s Destroyer meets Love Gun.

Yea, That cover is pretty amateurish… Why didn’t they get the guy who did the cover of Lovegun and Destroyer to do it…? That would have been cool…

If it’s only being sold through Wal-Mart then I guess I’m going download it from Limewire. I won’t shop Wal-Mart.
HUGE KISS fan since the seventies. But I’m sad to say, I am so over this farce, Gene & Paul have created. Fine, Paul has stated an interview that he no longer felt happy working with Ace & Peter, but at least don’t rip off their personas and have to imposters stand in for them. Create their own makeup, like they did with Eric & Vinnie. But I guess Gene owns everything that has KISS stamped on it. Gene, just reminds of a used car salesman, that will do anything to sell you a piece of CRAP. I will not be purchasing Sonic Boom. You want to here good music get ACE’s Anamoly CD!!
