The night Melanie Melanson disappeared she was with her friends at the edge of woods of an industrial park. Her grandmother and aunts brought her up and her alcoholic parents also come through sometimes to see her. Her father was wanted to purchase a leather jacket as her birthday gift.

20 years ago, on that Friday night, all friends, about a dozen in all, drank and smoked and talked about their future but her future ended that night.

Since 27th October 1989, there is no news about her, her poor grandmother died without knowing what had actually happened with her poor granddaughter. Her aunt Maryann Masciulli, sometimes go there and try to search her but she knows in her heart that she has been dead.

“I know somebody has taken my beautiful little niece and tossed her away like a piece of trash somewhere,”

she says.

The kids who were enjoying with her on that night has now graduated, married and have their own kids but no one knows where the 15 years old Melanie went? Initially, police thought that she had run away as she had before but after that she eventually called her aunt and let her know that she was ok but this time she did not.

Now, after two decades, Middlesex District Attorney Gerry Leone has opened the case again. Woburn police is making a plan along with aunt Masciulli to find Melanie again in the woods. They will offer $5000 to that man who will give them the right information of her.
