September 14, 2009

The body of the missing Yale University graduate student has been found. The name of the missing girl was Annie Le. According to reports, the body of Annie Le was found behind the wall of the lab in which she was seen alive for the last time. Her body was found on September 13, 2009, the same date on which her wedding was planned.

On Tuesday, September 8, 2009, Annie Le disappeared. When she didn’t return home, her roommate reported her missing. At around 10 a.m. on Tuesday, she entered the Yale Medical School research complex after using her university identification. There, 24-year-old Annie Le worked in a basement lab. That was the place at which she was seen alive for the last time. She went missing and no one heard or saw her since then. Though, her purse with money, credit cards, campus ID and cell phone were found in her office.

Her wedding was planned to be on September 13, 2009, which means only five days were left in her marriage. She was going to marry, Jonathan Widawsky. Jonathan Widawsky is a Columbia University graduate student and the couple met while they were undergraduate students at University of Rochester. On Friday, the wedding was cancelled by their relatives after Le’s missing.

A statement was released by Le’s family after her body was discovered from the lab. Her Uncle James Bui said.

“I’d like to thank you and the public for your support and prayers in our time of grief. That is the only statement we can make right now.”
