Joran van der Sloot, The main suspect in the 2005 disappearance of American student Natalee Holloway in Aruba has made a second confession that he has disposed her body in a marsh on the Caribbean island of Aruba. Dutch tabloid newspaper and Aruba’s chief prosecutor give this statement. On Tuesday De Telegraaf reported that in a sit-down interview with a television journalist Joran van der Sloot made the statement. He said that soon that would be clear that the statement was a mixture of lies and fantasy. According to Aruba’s chief prosecutor Peter Blanken, Joran van der Sloot story was very unbelievable. Holloway was 18 years old. She was from Mountain Brook, Ala. And she was last seen in May 2005 in the Aruban capital leaving a bar on the final night of a high school graduation trip. Police has never recovered her body.
After an alleged confession that is believed to have been recorded in August, authorities of Aruba reopened the investigation. Blanken told NBC News that the locations, names and times he had given just did not make sense. He added that German broadcaster RTL did not air the interview because of doubts about whether Van der Sloot was telling the truth or not. In 2008 he was secretly tapped when he was saying that the death of Holloway occurred due to an accident on the beach an he had dumped her body in the sea. It is thought that Van der Sloot is in the Netherlands since last week where he attended his father’s funeral.
