O2 XDA Internet Settings

WAP:

1. From the Start menu, click Settings

2. Click on the Connections tab and go to Connections

3. Under Internet settings, select New from the drop-down list

4. Click the General tab, name the connection setting as (GSM Service Provider Information) GPRS

5. Go to Modem and click New

  • a. Name of connection: (GSM Service Provider Information) GPRS
  • b. Modem: Cellular Line (GPRS)
  • c. Baud Rate: 57600

6. Click Advanced

7. On the Port Settings tab, ensure that Hardware is selected under Flow Control

  • a. TCP/ IP: Use server-assigned IP address
  • b. Name Servers: Use server-assigned addresses
  • c. Access Point Name: internet

8. Click Finish

9. Click OK at the top-right corner

10. On the Connections tab, select (GSM Service Provider Information) GPRS from the drop-down list under Internet settings and click Connect

  • a. Username: (GSM Service Provider Information)
  • b. Password: (GSM Service Provider Information)
  • c. Click OK

11. Once connected, you will see the connection icon on top of the screen. You can now launch your Pocket Internet Explorer

12. To disconnect, click on the connection icon on top of the screen and click End

MMS:

Note: You must have an MMS browser, eg EzWAP

1. Go to Start and select Settings

2. Go to Connections Tab and select Connections

3. Click on New

4. Enter details as follows:

  • a. Connection Name: (GSM Service Provider Information)_MMS
  • b. Modem: Cellular Line (GPRS)
  • c. Baud rate: (default) 19200
  • d. Click on Advanced:
  • e. TCP/IP: Use server-assigned IP address
  • f. Name Servers: Use server-assigned addresses
  • g. Click OK
  • h. Click Next
  • i. Access Point Name: mms
  • j. Click Finish

After setting up the MMS connection, you have to configure EzWap.

1. Go to Start and select Settings

2. Go to System and click on EzWAP V2.5 and enter as follows:

General

a. Connection: (GSM Service Provider Information) MMS

b. Connect automatically: Yes

c. Home page:

Break line after images, anchors and edit fields:

Connection (Have to enter details):

d. Proxy/Gateway/None: Gateway

e. Address: 27.0.0.1 (Get detail from service provider)

f. Port: 9201

g. Connectionless gateway: uncheck

h. WTLS secured connection: uncheck

i. User authentication: N/A

j. Password: N/A

k. Connection timeout: 50

l. Retries: 5

m. Timeout: 100

Push (Don’t change anything):

a. Enable push: check

b. Address: blank

c. Port: 2948

d. Connectionless push gateway: check

e. WTLS secured connection: uncheck

History depth (Don’t change anything):

a. History depth: 100

b. Size of Cache: 100

c. Document cache path: blank

d. Cookie cache path: blank

Identification (Don’t change anything):

a. Allow client identifier to be: check

b. Allow geographical location: check

MMS settings (Have to enter details):

a. Message Server: http://mms(GSM Service Provider Information)

b. Sender address type: Phone Number

c. Sender address: blank

MMS Options (Have to enter details):

a. Validity: Max.

b. Delivery report: uncheck

c. Read report: uncheck

d. Hide sender: uncheck
