O2 XPhone WAP and MMS Settings

WAP:

1. Press Start then select Settings

2. Select More… then select Data Connections

3. Press Menu and select Edit Connections

4. Select GPRS Connections and press Menu

5. Select Add

  • a. Description: Mobile-Service-Provider-Name_GPRS
  • b. Connects to: WAP Network
  • c. Access point: wap
  • d. User name: Mobile-Service-Provider-Name
  • e. Password: Mobile-Service-Provider-Name
  • f. Primary DNS: blank
  • g. Secondary DNS: blank
  • h. IP address: blank
  • i. Press Done

6. You should see Mobile-Service-Provider-Name_GPRS profile is created

7. Press Done

8. Select Proxy Connections and press Menu

9. Select Add

  • a. Description: Mobile-Service-Provider-Name_Proxy
  • b. Connects from: The Internet
  • c. Connects to: WAP Network
  • d. Access point: wap
  • e. Proxy (name:port): 27.0.0.1 (Get detail from service provider):9201
  • f. Type: WAP
  • g. Username: blank
  • h. Password: blank
  • i. Press Done

10. You should see Mobile-Service-Provider-Name_Proxy profile is created

11. Press Done

12. Press Done

13. Under WAP Connection see if Mobile-Service-Provider-Name_GPRS profile is selected

14. Press Done

MMS:

1. Press Start and select Settings

2. Select More and then select Data Connections

3. Press Menu and select Edit Connections

4. Select GPRS Connections and click Menu

5. Select Add and key in following information:

  • a. Description: Mobile-Service-Provider-Name_MMS
  • b. Connects to: MMS Access
  • c. Access Point: mms
  • d. Username: Mobile-Service-Provider-Name
  • e. Password: Mobile-Service-Provider-Name
  • f. Primary DNS: blank
  • g. Secondary DNS: blank
  • h. IP address: blank
  • i. Press Done

6. You should see Mobile-Service-Provider-Name_MMS profile is created

7. Press Done 4times

8. Select More go to MMS

9. Go to Settings and key in the following information:

  • a. Name: Mobile-Service-Provider-Name MMSC
  • b. MMSC URL: http://mmsMobile-Service-Provider-Name
  • c. WAP Gateway: 27.0.0.1 (Get detail from service provider)
  • d. Press Done

10. Go back to the MMS Composer

11. Select Preferences

a. Connect Via: MMS Access
