BET’s “Rip the Runway” event held at the New York Hammerstein in Ballroom on Saturday. Actor Pooch Hill hosted the event along with Rap Artist Young Money Nicki Minay. The show was fascinated with the performances of following stars like Ludachris, Soulja, Boy Tell’em, Estelle, Trina and Janelle Monae. The one hour show was comprised of the new designs of fashion designers along with some of today’s hottest musical acts. Actually, it was a mix of music and fashion.
Rap Artist Nicki proved that she could handle the spotlight. During the first few opening minutes, Nicki asked Pooch for a favor saying he had not complimented her on her shoes. Not only she received complements from her co-hots on her shoes but also performed as well. On stage, she joined Ludacris and sang with him on his song “My Chick Bad”. On the other hand, New Designers had a chance to showcase their new summer and spring designs.
Bobby Ray got benefit from the show and promoted his new single “Nothin on You”.
“Pooch, you haven’t even complimented me on my shoes yet,” Nicki said during the opening minutes, teasing the actor as the pair introduced the show.
“My chick bad, tell me if you seen her,” Luda rapped. “She always bring the racket like Venus and Serena.” Minaj stormed onstage for the third verse, much to the delight of her fans — there were plenty of Barbiez onboard — in a snakeskin bodysuit and pink wig.
Trina was partnered with Haute Couture. The rowdiest performance of the night was presented by new comer Roscoe Dash and Soulja Boy Tell’em.
