Scottie Reynolds

Villanova guard Scottie Reynolds was not picked in the two rounds of the 2010 NBA Draft. It was simply shocking to learn that a player of his capability was not able to impress any team. Reynolds, 22, registered season-high 36 points in the Wildcats’ 92–84 win over Louisville in January, 2010. He averaged 18.2 points per game and 3.3 assists per game with 2.7 rebounds for his team in the 2009-10 season. Reynolds, 6 ft 2 in & 195 pounds, was named to the 2010 AP All-American and Villanova Coach Jay Wright told reporters that Scottie got immense talent and desire to perform for his team and that what’s make him special. Reynolds had 2,222 points to his name and his effort was just 21 points less than Villanova’s all-time leading scorer Kerry Kittles.

There are several other names that were not selected in this year’s draft. Temple University guard Ryan Brooks, Duke University center Brian Zoubek, and Rider University Ryan Thompson are the few names not considered for the selection. Reynolds contributed a lot for his team in many games including 25 points in 95-86 win over Maryland while he scored 27 points in 82-77 victory over G’town. He averaged 14.8 points per game in 2006-2007 season while 15.9 and 15.2 respectively in next two seasons.
