Seattle Rock and Roll Marathon

The people of Seattle are very excited as they are going to be witnessing the very first ever Rock ?n? Roll Marathon today, June 27 2009.
The people of Seattle have never seen such an event or any close to anything like this spectacle marathon. This being the 25,000 marathon on which half marathon runners are uniting at the very beginning point, which is the Tukwila and going all the way to downtown of Seattle and finishing up the marathon at Qwest Field.
The first nine miles of the track will be done together by the Marathon and half marathon runners, after which they will separate at Lake Washington, near the floating bridge which is on the shore.
The reason this is such an amazing event and being hosted by Seattle is first of all because of Seattle being the center of all other musical scenarios going on and second of all, for the obvious reasons of Seattle offering and producing outstanding number of artists related to music and creation of new genres.
For the runners and guests, the entertainment is provided on the 40 entertainment stages where local bands of Seattle will be performing, while the runners sweat their way to the finish line. Other than that, the spectator crowed is estimated to be around 100,000 which will be supporting the runners all the way. Spectators are also going to get a chance to enjoy some amazing rock music from the live performances of 70 bands.
There has been an estimation of 2000 walkers and runners raising about $5 million for the dozen of charities they individually are supporting.
