Space shuttle Endeavor started its journey today at 4:14 a.m.(EST) from the NASA’s Kennedy Space Center, Florida. The shuttle is sent towards the International Space Station under a 13-day mission named as STS-130. The mission includes three spacewalks and the delivery of the Tranquility node.

The Tranquility node will provide crew members with additional room. The Tranquility is attached with a cupola that has seven windows and each window provides a panoramic view of Earth.

Terry Virts is the pilot of the Space Shuttle while Kathryn Hire is Mission Specialist. The other members include Zamka, Stephen Robinson, Nicholas Patrick and Robert Behnken. The space shuttle is expected to land back on Earth on 20th February at 10:01pm. Till now, Endeavor has completed its 31 missions in 23 flights. STS-130 is its 32nd shuttle mission.
